Isaiah 60:22 (ESV): “The least one shall become a clan, and the smallest one a mighty nation; I am the LORD; in its time I will hasten it.”

Decided to wind down after a lively weekend wedding affair

The Israelites were tired and worn from decades of battle and contending for their place. They were destroyed due to their idolatry and were scattered. They had lost hope. They felt as if their God had forsaken them. The Lord however, being faithful to His promise to Abraham, never did. He gave Prophet Isaiah a word for them and it was word to give them hope and a future!

It was a voice of restoration and a certainty of calm in days to come. Maybe that is what you need today.

God is very intentional. You will not catch Him slip up on His own word. Whenever He gives a promise that is exciting and encouraging, He always gives a caveat and most times the caveat is to "wait for Him to accomplish". This is where people lose it altogether. Waiting sucks. Waiting makes you look like a loser and no one wants to look like they are not winning. But character is formed during the wait. Clearer planning is made during the wait. Strategy is instilled in you during the wait. Enemies of your destiny get clearer during the wait. (Come oonnnnnnn). Waiting is your pit stop.

God knows that if you get your blessing when you are ill-prepared, you will mess it up and probably call Him a liar because He 'promised' you and it 'failed'.

One thing God is NOT going to do, sis/bro, is look like a liar :D.

God knows the inner workings of the foundations of the earth. So, what makes you think that your life is a mystery to Him?

This blog will end as swiftly as it started because the message is very simple: God does not trip up on His own word. He finishes everything He starts. (The track “Finished Work” By Tamela Mann ft. Todd Dulaney comes to mind).

He made good His promise of delivering the Israelites from their oppressors in Egypt and He did it again even in the wilderness despite their stiff-necked behavior. Of course days were hard and on some days, He wanted to slit them up, lol (Ex 32). But because He is a promise keeper and He does not speak idle words, He still delivered them and brought them into the Promised Land!

Wait on Him, beloved.

He will make good His word. IN HIS APPOINTED TIME.
